In Germany, AXA links with professional association for rheumatologists and rheumatism clinics.
AXA has formed a partnership to improve the treatment of patients with rheumatism, along with the professional association for rheumatologists (Berufsverband Deutscher Rheumatologen) and that for clinics treating this condition (Versorgungslandschaft Rheuma). This partnership aims to improve collaboration between general practitioners and specialist rheumatologists, and to ensure optimal medical treatment for patients. When a general practitioner suspects that a patient has rheumatism, he or she refers that patient to a specialist and also to AXA as health insurer, which appoints a case manager to facilitate links between patient, general practitioners and specialists.
