Examples cases of IPPD use

The Managing Director of the National Fitness Centers Association - Timothy Farmer – has just completed his presentation on the annual figures of the association to a group of journalists, and he opens the floor for some questions.

The journalist of the leading magazine "Fit for You" questions the value of the Insurance Program launched by the association last year. It is developed to provide benefits to all members. The journalist, however, doubts whether any of the smaller members can gain access to the program.

"I have heard that your insurance program is yet another example of your policy to promote the larger fitness centers," he states.

Timothy takes his smartphone and opens his Insurance Program Performance Dashboard. He pulls up the graph that shows the revenue per client, he drills down and says: "Although I hadn't prepared for this question, I have the most recent figures of the insurance program in front of me. It shows the revenue category for each participant. More than 50% of all participants have the lowest revenue, while only 17% are in the highest revenue category. Does this answer your question?"

Using the IPPDThe journalist hadn't expected Timothy to be able to give these precise figures on the spot. "I need to investigate the type of software he is using," he thinks, and nods in agreement.

Timothy smiles and looks at his smartphone thinking: "well worth the investment...".

Services levels of Call Center protected by IPPD

P2Y Energy LTD. has launched an income protection program for its customers a week ago. All clients within the target group received a special offer. In case of specific questions, or sales, clients can call a dedicated call center number made available for this specific campaign.

Terry Jones, the call center manager for P2Y Energy, analyzes the first week's call center statistics on the IPPD* on his smart phone. The upward trend indicates that the necessary capacity to handle the calls will be insufficient tomorrow when a new mailing will be sent. Terry calls for an immediate meeting so as to adjust the capacity and to secure the quality of service. By frequently monitoring the call center statistics on his smart phone, Terry is providing superb quality of service, even when away from his desk.

Claims ratio lower thru smartphone

John Cruncher, Senior Actuary with Best Insurance Co, studies his smart phone. His IPPD*-app helps to monitor the performance of specific insurance products. He notices that the number of claims for one of the products is exceptionally high, much more than anticipated. Together with the responsible Program Manager, he analyses the trend and the source of these claims. They decide to re-focus the communication and campaigns to a target group with a better risk profile.

IPPD2As a result of this renewed communication and campaign strategy, the additional volume of sold policies improves the claims ratio. This reduction in claims is achieved without changing the policy wordings, which would not have been appreciated by the market. It prevents potential negative feedback by consumers on Twitter damaging the company's reputation.....
